Communities of health: It takes more than an apple a day
The Tasmanian Government has set an ambitious target of making us the healthiest Australian state by 2025. There is no question that action is needed now to head off an unprecedented level of chronic illness and pressure on our health, aged and social care services in the not-too-distant future. The Government’s Healthy Tasmania plan – currently in draft – aims to set us on the best path to achieving this goal. Is it the right track? What other action might be needed? What can we all do?
